Hakan Ozkasikci, MSc.Arch. is the founder and CEO of 3 Square Meters, an independent consultancy specializing in hospitality design and development. The company provides advisory and consultancy services to curate the correct consultant team configurations and orchestrate facility programs and masterplans, ensuring every aspect aligns with a vision of service excellence and operational efficiency. This strategic guidance throughout the pre-construction and construction phases is crucial for maintaining brand integrity and achieving strategic development goals, all while prioritizing sustainability and elegance in design and helping clients navigate the complexities of global hospitality design with confidence.
With over 30 years of experience on iconic projects in 36 countries in the Americas, Africa, Asia, and Europe, Hakan notably contributed to the prestigious Aman, One&Only, SIRO and InterContinental brands; setting new standards in luxury hospitality and residential architecture and leveraging his extensive knowledge of hospitality dynamics and real estate investment.
Hakan’s specialties include architecture, interior design, design and process management, branding, conversion, innovation, and sustainability. He approaches each individual project to reflect the locale, their culture, and their people to reinterpret their values to strike a streamlined balance between comfort, sophisticated simplicity, and luxury.
Hakan completed his master’s degree from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in developing sustainable design models for the hospitality industry, including small, unbranded luxury hotels. He is a member of the Turkish Chamber of Architects, International Design Management Institute (DMI) and Ashford Institute Alumni and he holds a certificate on Hotel Real Estate Investments and Asset Management from Cornell University.
Recognized as a thought leader and a leading voice for the hospitality industry, Hakan has been an active attendee at prominent international hospitality events as a keynote speaker and moderator. He is also a loyal pupil of classical motorcycling, an experiential cook, and is currently penning his first book chronicling his adventures around the globe.
